Kid Cents is always looking for quality items to accept, however a few things to consider will help maximize your efforts.

  • Clothing should always be laundered.  We only work with clean clothes.  
  • No odors, hair, holes, stains, frays or the like.  We only work with quality.
  • Try to keep it seasonal...we prefer the season we are in and the next one coming.  In fall, we look for winter, in winter we look for spring, etc....
  • We accept one, 13 Gallon white bag of clothing at a time, so be selective.
  • ​Please do not bring in trade in paper bags or boxes.
  • Items of special interest year round are shoes and boots, sporting goods, holiday fashion, dress clothes snow gear and coats.
  • Equipment should always be in excellent condition free of all stains, odor, hair, mildew, holes and the like.  No recalled items
  • Some items have expiration dates.  Expecially car seats.
  • All parts must be present and in good working order.  All items must be fully assemble prior to assessment of value
  • Allow our staff time to propertly assess your trade in the order it was received.  Patience is rewarded with quality service.  Thank you!

When trading with Kid Cents,  you need to establish a Trade Account.  This is a simple contract outlining each party's expectations.


Each time you come in to turn in or to make a purchase with your trade credit, you will initial the transaction on your account.


Some things to consider when trading with Kid Cents:

  • Read the contract before signing​ - Click here to review a copy
  • Accounts may be transferred under very special circumstances.
  • There must be positive balance to use your credit
  • Some items (White Tags or New Product Lines) are not trade applicable.
  • During certain sales, trade accounts are not available (very infrequent).
  • One trade at a time.  You may bring in your next trade after the first has been assessed.
  • Please allow time for staff to properly evaluate trade.  We do not evaluate on the spot.  It provides inadequate time to properly assess the trade.  It is in everyone's interest.
  • Equipment - we may be able to assess on the spot, but may need to do research for recall.  Please allow some  time so we can get it right.
  • Please note:  We are now open on Mondays!  However, Trade Accounts are not available on Mondays or 50% off sale days.
